Salisbury, 25.XI.32.
My dear Walter!
I am just having tea and biscuits at a very lovely Café at Salisbury. I wished you could sit here beside me! I left Southampton at 1130 this morning and arrived at Salisbury at 1250. It’s now 4 o’clock and I have got quite a good impression of the old, small town and of the Cathedral. Oh, it was marvellous indeed, especially the Cloister. What a pity, that you are so far away from here. –
By the way: many thanks for your letter, it came a bit late, don’t you think so? Well, I know that you have a lot to do. I have not been very well during the last days, nothing serious, only indigestion and I slept always when I had a chance to do so. Therefore only a postcard to-day. I’ll answer your letter soon.
Yours ever Anneliese.
