Fr 28.10.1932, Brief von Anneliese an Walter: “They intend to take their car over to France to go to Paris and then to Schwelm”
28. X. 32.
My dear Walter!
I hope you won’t mind when I only write a few words to-day because it’s rather late – even the fire has gone to sleep and it’s now rather chilly in the room. I have been in Southampton this morning – it was a gorgeous morning – I went to see a lady who had written to my advertisement in the newspaper. (You know that Leni wants to come to England?)
But I was unlucky because Mrs. Clayton had gone to London for the day. I think I shall see her one day next week. Next Sunday we are going to Porthmouth for the whole day. I am looking forward to the ride and the whole day because they are very nice people there.
I got a very nice letter last week from my friend Cecily from Scarborough – I’ll show it to you when I am back.
By the way Mr. + Mrs. Cox are coming to Germany in the beginning of March. They intend to take their car over to France to go to Paris and then to Schwelm. I hope you won’t mind me coming back together with them or would you? Of course it’s not quite fixed but they are thinking very seriously about it because Mr. Cox wanted to see some German manufactories.
How are you? How are your mother, sister and brother? What about your school, Silentium, Mathematics, friends, etc.?
Please write soon to me. Ena sends her love to you, Mr. Cox does not. (They are longing very much to get to know you!)
Many kisses
Yours ever, Anneliese
